Explorers Continued: Spanish, English, French and even the Dutch


We will continue to examine the explorers who journeyed into the unknown. Last class we looked at the reasons & factors involved in exploration. We also looked at how the Portuguese were the first nation to begin exploring with the encouragement of Prince Henry the Navigator. Today we will begin with the Spanish and examine the voyages of Columbus and then the other European explorers. We will not cover all European explorers but some of the most important ones.

Finally, you will complete 4 constructive response questions.

(Make sure all uncompleted work is done before the First Six Weeks)
